Lana Vang, MHRM, is the founder and lead coach of The Caliber Method, a professional coaching and consulting company dedicated to personal and organizational growth. Through The Caliber Method, Lana provides one-on-one executive and life coaching, as well as customized business workshops that help leaders and teams strengthen Emotional Intelligence, self-awareness, and authentic communication.
Drawing from her own journey and professional expertise, Lana also offers keynote speaking and appearances, where she inspires audiences with stories about the immigrant American Dream experience, overcoming adversity, bullying, and building resilience. Her mission is to help individuals and organizations operate at their highest caliber—both personally and professionally.
My Story
My name is Lana Vang, and my story begins in a refugee camp — a place where my family’s hope and courage took root. As a first-generation Hmong immigrant, I grew up watching my parents rebuild their lives from nothing, relying solely on their strength, love, and the clothes on their backs.
As a child, I struggled to find my place in a new world — learning a new language, navigating unfamiliar cultures, and carrying the quiet weight of anxiety. School wasn’t easy; bullying and self-doubt followed me through the years. But those challenges also became my greatest teachers.
When I discovered music, stage performance, and sales, everything began to change. Through creative expression and connection with others, I found my confidence, voice, and passion for growth. With the help of incredible mentors and managers, I learned what it means to lead — not from authority, but from empathy and authenticity.
Today, I live that mission every day through The Caliber Method, where I coach professionals, leaders, and individuals to strengthen emotional intelligence, overcome self-limiting beliefs, and lead with purpose.
